Indonesia’s toll road network is expanding

Indonesia continues to expand its toll road network, with major routes being built and opening to traffic. The toll road firm Jasa Marga will expand its network from 787km to 1,000km by the end of 2018. Four key sections of toll road will be complete at the end of 2018, linking Gempol and Pasuruan, Salatiga and Kartasura, Wilangan and Kertosono and Batang with Semarang.

Indonesia continues to expand its toll road network, with major routes bveing built and opening to traffic. The toll road firm Jasa Marga will expand its network from 787km to 1,000km by the end of 2018. Four key sections of toll road will be complete at the end of 2018, linking Gempol and Pasuruan, Salatiga and Kartasura, Wilangan and Kertosono and Batang with Semarang.

    Toll road operator Jasa Marga of Indonesia has added four contracts at a cost of nearly US$2.4 billion to its highway concession portfolio. Jasa Marga hold equity of between 55% and 65% in each project, according to a report by the Jakarta Post newspaper.     Indonesia’s state-owned toll operator, Jasa Marge, is bidding for two major toll road projects. The toll road operating concessions are for the Balikpapan-Samarinda and Manado-Bitung routes.     Key highway projects are being planned for Indonesia. The Indonesian firm Wijaya Karya (Wika) will work on three toll road projects in the country worth just over US$922 million.
