Indonesia road repairs planned for 2019

A road repair and maintenance budget for 2019 has been set by Indonesia’s Ministry of Public Works and Housing. Some US$2.66 billion will be used to ensure that Indonesia’s major road and bridge links are maintained correctly. Bridge works figure largely in the plans for 2019.

The country’s national transport infrastructure department, DNIT, has set out plans for a series of tenders, all of which form part of phase 2 of the country's growth acceleration plan, PAC.   • Nicaragua road widenging and repair budgets

    Nicaragua’s capital Managua is to benefit from a project to widen and upgrade the Pista Juan Pablo II road. Funding is being provide from a number of sources. The European Investment Bank (EIB) is providing US$136 million while the Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI) is providing $105.5 million. The council of Managua meanwhile will provide $33.4 million. The work will see upgrades to 9.55km of the route, which also includes building new flyover sections.
