Indian expressway for Uttar Pradesh

A new expressway project is underway in India’s Uttar Pradesh State. The 293km Bundelkhand Expressway project is worth in the region of US$1.135 billion. Land acquisition for the project has proven an issue with the Uttar Pradesh State Government now taking steps to speed up this process. Bidding for the project is opening shortly. The aim of the project is to help develop the economy of the Bundelkhand Region of Uttar Pradesh State.

    The tender process is opening shortly for a major road widening project in Ecuador. The contract is thought to be worth in the region of US$1 billion. The work will involve widening the E-25 route to four lanes along a 170km stretch. Also include will be the construction of six access roads, five bridges and 36 crossings for pedestrians. Also known as the Santo Domingo-Quevedo-Babahoyo-Jujan road, the project will be carried out as public-private partnership (PPP).

    Construction work for a new expressway and tunnel project in Laos will commence in early 2018. The 113.5km route will connect capital Vientane, in the south of the country, with Vangvieng. A 679m tunnel will be constructed at Phoupha Mountain between Naxaithong district and Vangvieng district. The project is costing US$1.2 billion to construct and will be carried out by a China and Laos joint venture.
