Indian expressway for Uttar Pradesh

A new expressway project is underway in India’s Uttar Pradesh State. The 293km Bundelkhand Expressway project is worth in the region of US$1.135 billion. Land acquisition for the project has proven an issue with the Uttar Pradesh State Government now taking steps to speed up this process. Bidding for the project is opening shortly. The aim of the project is to help develop the economy of the Bundelkhand Region of Uttar Pradesh State.

    In the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region of China, plans have been drawn up to construct 24 expressways with a total investment of US$49.76 billion. On 26 September 2014, construction started on a 177km Hechi-Baise expressway, while the 92km Hechi-Du'an expressway is already in use. The Hechi-Du'an expressway has a 100km/hour speed limit.
  • New Brazil road tender process due

    The tender process for Brazil’s 364/365 highway will commence in mid-September 2019. The 437km route connects Jatai, Ituiutaba and Uberlandia in Minas Gerais State. The concession deal will be for 30 years and investment in the road is expected to be worth US$1.22 billion. The tender will be awarded to the firm offering the lowest toll rate. The national land transport agency, ANTT, is overseeing the tender process.
