India’s Maharashtra State is setting out a massive programme for infrastructure development. In all some US$47.08 billion of infrastructure works will be carried out. Transport development is a key priority, with a series of major highway construction projects now being planned.

Planned spending of US$31.1 billion will be used to improve and upgrade the road network in the area by 2019.
