India’s Maharashtra State is setting out a massive programme for infrastructure development. In all some US$47.08 billion of infrastructure works will be carried out. Transport development is a key priority, with a series of major highway construction projects now being planned.

    The state government of Maharashtra in west India is planning to build a 35km road between Kandivli and Nariman Point in the state's western suburban region.
