Honduran highways having US support

Support for the development of the Honduran highway network is coming from the US. The Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC), a US Government body, is currently hoping to hire a consultancy that will be able to advise the Honduran Government on developing its highway concession programme, reports Business News Americas. Support for the development of the Honduran highway network is coming from the US. The 2707 Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC), a 908 US Government body, is currently hoping to hire a consultancy that will be able to advise the Honduran Government on developing its highway concession programme, reports Business News Americas. The winner of this process will assist the Honduran infrastructure and public services ministry (Insep) and the superintendent of public-private partnerships in managing road concessions. Key projects in focus will include a logistical corridor, a tourism corridor and the Lenca corridor. The period of the initial consultancy package will be for 12 months, with possible extensions. MCC is offering to finance the consultancy process as part of a three-year, US$15.7 million programme aimed at improving PPP processes in Honduras.
