Highway projects for China’s Henan Province

A series of highway projects have been budgeted for China’s Henan Province. In all some US$15.8 billion will be spent on 14 separate highway projects, which will stretch in excess of 1,000km in all. The projects are starting in 2022. The work includes building seven cross-provincial highways, three urban highways and two Zhengzhou City highways. They also include building two Beijing-Hong Kong-Macao Expressway diversion highways.

    Three new expressway projects are planned for China's Hubei Province. Building the new links will cost US$2.17 billion. One of the projects is for a 47.6km link of the route running from Zaoyang to Qianjiang and featuring two lanes in either direction. Another project is for a 24.9km stretch of the route from Qichun to Taihu, again with two lanes in either direction. The third project is for a 61.9km stretch of the route from Qianli to Jiangling.

    Vietnam is pushing ahead with a series of road, highway and bridge projects that will improve the country’s transport network. Feasibility studies for three stretches of the North-South Expressway have been received by Vietnam’s Ministry of Transport (MoT).
