Gustavo Otero takes over the EMEA reins at Doosan Bobcat

Gustavo Otero has been appointed president for Doosan Bobcat’s Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region.


Otero, who previously served as vice-president of the compact and telehandlers division, will be based out of Doosan Bobcat’s EMEA headquarters in Dobris, Czech Republic.

He has an extensive 20-year background in the global construction equipment and automotive industries. His positions include vice-president of 6902 Doosan Infracore Construction Equipment EMEA business and was general manager at excavator attachment company 3772 Geith.

Otero earned a master’s degree in industrial engineering at Universidade de Vigo, an executive MBA from IESIDE Business Institute and a PDD from IESE Business School Universidad de Navarra, all in Spain.

His appointment is part of a wider senior management shuffle at the global level including new regional presidents as well as creation of a different global organisation and leadership structure along with new groups responsible for global engineering, procurement and strategy.
 
Among the appointments are Mike Ballweber who takes over as president, Doosan Bobcat North America. Ballweber was previously senior vice-president for commercial business in North America.

Alvaro Pacini has been named senior vice-president for global procurement, rising from EMEA region president. Troy Kraft has been appointed senior vice president for global engineering and Youngmin Kwon has been named senior vice-president for global strategy.

All the new appointees report directly to Scott Park, Doosan Bobcat chief executive.
