Guatemala road project funding benefiting from foreign input

Foreign investors are playing a major role in funding work to develop Guatemala’s road infrastructure. For 2018, 74 of the projects being planned in Guatemala will be funded through foreign sources. However in all the Guatemalan Government has planned some 2.312 projects in all in its budget for 2018. Some US$131.85 million will be aimed at road works. Four projects are being planned to develop the road link connecting Alta Verapaz and Quiche. Another major road project being planned is for the CA-9 highway

Foreign investors are playing a major role in funding work to develop Guatemala’s road infrastructure. For 2018, 74 of the projects being planned in Guatemala will be funded through foreign sources. However in all the Guatemalan Government has planned some 2.312 projects in all in its budget for 2018. Some US$131.85 million will be aimed at road works. Four projects are being planned to develop the road link connecting Alta Verapaz and Quiche. Another major road project being planned is for the CA-9 highway project while improvements will be carried out on the Belice Bridge.

    A series of major highway projects are now being planned in the Philippines. The largest of this most recent set of highway projects to be announced is for the US$1.24 billion NLEx-Cavitex Port Expressway Link put forward. Measuring 15km the route would be constructed featuring four lanes. This proposed link would connect the Cavite Expressway and North Luzon Expressway in Metro Manila. The proposal for the project has been made by Manila North Tollways, a subsidiary of Metro Pacific Investments.
