Ghana road rebuilding, funding secured

Financing has been secured to help pay for rebuilding of the Dome to Kitase road in Ghana’s capital Accra. A US$24 million loan from the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development (KFAED) will pay for the work. Upgrading the route will help improve transport on the northern side of Accra and develop the local economy.

  • Tanzania projects funding from Kuwait

    Funding has been secured from Kuwait for a series of major infrastructure projects in Tanzania. One of the main projects will be for a series of road upgrades in the city of Dodoma. Another project will be for improvements to the 257km road connecting Morogoro with Dodoma. The US$207.3 million loan has been made available to the Tanzanian Government via the Arab Economic Development Fund.     In Rwanda a road rehabilitation project will see the rebuilding of the route connecting Huye and Kitabi. The work on the 53km road will be supervised by Rwanda’s Ministry of Infrastructure and is due for completion by 2017.
