Funding secured for Nigerian infrastructure projects

Funding worth US$1.3 billion has been secured to pay for five key Nigerian infrastructure projects. The funding is being provided by the Nigerian Government, with the current administration pledging to complete its planned development programme. Road links covered under this funding allocation include work to upgrade the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, the Abuja – Kano Expressway, the East – West Road and the Second Niger Bridge. Funding worth US$1.3 billion has been secured to pay for five key Nigerian infrastructure projects. The funding is being provided by the Nigerian Government, with the current administration pledging to complete its planned development programme. Road links covered under this funding allocation include work to upgrade the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, the Abuja – Kano Expressway, the East – West Road and the Second Niger Bridge. The other major infrastructure project included in this tranche meanwhile is for the Mambilla Hydropower development. Works to the Oyo – Ogbomosho and Enugu – Port Harcourt road links are already ongoing.
