Colombia pushes ahead with two more 4G road projects

Colombia will accept bids later this month for two major projects under the ongoing 4G strategic plan for highways, according to vice-president German Vargas Lleras, Contracts details for construction of the Bucaramanga-Pamplona and Pamplona-Cucuta motorways have been published on the website of the National Infrastructure Agency, ANI.

Contracts details for construction of the Bucaramanga-Pamplona and Pamplona-Cucuta motorways have been published on the website of the National Infrastructure Agency, ANI.

The Bucaramanga-Pamplona road requires an investment of around US$262 million and is part of the third wave of the ambitious 4G road construction and concession programme.

Construction work will include rehabilitation of nearly 69km of road, building 13.5km of new road and improvements to 51km of existing road. ANI will receive proposals between 15 December 2015 and 11 March 2016.

The Pamplona-Cucuta road requires a $386.6 million investment and work will cover 62km. ANI will receive proposals between 15 December 2015 and 18 March 2016.
