Colombia: Bogota-Tunja road project completed

Work on the dual carriageway project between the cities of Bogota and Tunja in the Boyaca region is finished, said Colombia's vice president German Vargas Lleras. The 206km project, costing nearly US$367 million, included construction of a 6km dual carriageway.

    A finance package has been secured in Colombia for the Autopista al Mar 1 highway project. A loan worth close to US$206 million is being provided by the national development bank, Financiera de Desarrollo Nacional (FDN). A new contractor will be selected by Colombia's National Road Institute (Invias) to complete the last section of work required on the La Linea Tunnel.
