China’s expressway expansion programme continues

China continues to develop its expressway network. According to official figures from China’s Ministry of Transport, the expressway network grew by 8130km during 2017. This was an increase of 6.5% over 2016. A further 5.,000km of expressways should be added to the network during 2018. In all China’s tolled expressways extend for some 132,638km.
