China: transportation in Guizhou province to be enhanced by 2018

Transportation infrastructure, including many roads, in three autonomous states in China's Guizhou province will be enhanced by 2018. The state of Qiandongnan, Qiannan and Qianxinan will get a new 1,150km highway as well as 634km of new rail line, including high-speed routes. The states will also be served by more air routes and get an expansion of Xingyi Wanfenglin airport as well construction of a new airport, Luodian. Transportation infrastructure, including many roads, in three autonomous states in China's Guizhou province will be enhanced by 2018.

The state of Qiandongnan, Qiannan and Qianxinan will get a new 1,150km highway as well as 634km of new rail line, including high-speed routes.

The states will also be served by more air routes and get an expansion of Xingyi Wanfenglin airport as well construction of a new airport, Luodian.

Meanwhile, in China's Anhui province, construction starts in June of the 39.25km highway between Guangde and Ningguo, costing around US$440 million. The work is part of a major infrastructure upgrading plan that includes building Anhui's Wuhu Xuancheng airport.

Construction is expected to start in December on the airport that will have a 2,800m runway and a 10,000m2 terminal building.

    China’s Guizhou Province is developing its transport infrastructure with a major programme of works being scheduled. Construction for six new highways is commencing during 2019, with the work being planned and managed by the Guizhou Provincial Transportation Department. These six highway sections will all feature at least two lanes in either direction, five of which will be for traffic speeds up to 80km/h. The 162km Nayong to Qinglong highway however will be for speeds up to 100km/h, is costing over US$5.

    China’s Guizhou Province is setting out a massive budget for road expansion to boost access to rural areas. This will see the construction of some 50,000km of roads in 2018. In all US$3.15 billion is being spent on road development. So far 35,000km of road projects are underway in Guizhou Province with nearly 9,400km of road jobs already having been completed. By the end of the second quarter of 2018, all of the planned projects within this programme of works will be underway or complete.
