China approves major Zhejiang province road

China’s Ministry of Transport has given the green light for construction of a US$1.67 billion highway in the eastern seaboard province of Zhejiang. The project is for a 58km road linking Taishun County with Wencheng County, around the nearby city of Wenzhou. Last month the ministry passed a feasibility study for the work which is set to start sometime next year.

The project is for a 58km road linking Taishun County with Wencheng County, around the nearby city of Wenzhou.

Last month the ministry passed a feasibility study for the work which is set to start sometime next year.

  • Saudi Arabian money for Tajikistan’s Dushanbe-Kulyab-Khorog-Murgab highway

    Saudi Arabia will provide US$108 million through the Islamic Development Bank for reconstruction of two sections of the Dushanbe-Kulyab-Khorog-Murgab highway in Tajikistan.     Three new expressway projects are planned for China's Hubei Province. Building the new links will cost US$2.17 billion. One of the projects is for a 47.6km link of the route running from Zaoyang to Qianjiang and featuring two lanes in either direction.
