Budget for Russia-China road links

Plans are being drawn up in Russia for the road links that will connect with Western China. The work will include rebuilding existing links as well as building new roads, with completion expected by 2024. Four separate road projects are being prioritised. One route will include a highway through Kazan while another will see the construction of a new tolled highway.

    A Malaysian contractor will carry out a highway project worth US$357.1 million in India. The project is for the construction of the new National Highway 52 and will be carried out by IJM Corp (IJM). The stretch will connect Solapur in Karnataka State with Bijapur in Maharashtra State.     A loan from the Export-Import Bank of China (Exim Bank of China) will help pay for the rebuilding of an important road section in Nigeria. Approval for the funding package was given by Nigeria’s Federal Executive Council, headed by the country’s president, Muhammadu Buhari.
