Malaysian construction group Bina Puri has submitted bids for contracts worth US$768.73 million for work on eight infrastructure projects, including the Sungai Besi-Ulu Klang Elevated Expressway and the Damansara-Shah Alam Elevated Expressway.

The 31.8km Sungai Besi-Ulu Klang Elevated Expressway will reduce traffic along the Kuala Lumpur Middle Ring Road 2 from Ampang to Bandar Tasik Selatan. There will be three toll plazas in Alam Damai, Taman Bukit Teratai and Ampang Indah.

The Damansara–Shah Alam Elevated Expressway – DASH - is a proposed a 20.1km, three-lane, dual carriageway in the Klang Valley, around the capital city Kuala Lumpur. The $2.61 billion highway will start from Puncak Perdana in Shah Alam to the Penchala interchange, and have 12 interchanges in all.

However, DASH has yet to get final government approval with concern being voiced by local resident groups over the route and possible noise implications, according to a report by Malay Mail Online newspaper last October.

Other contracts eyed by Bina Puri, which currently has outstanding orders valued at MYR 1.89 billion, include the Pan-Borneo Highway
