Azerbaijan invites bids for reconstruction of Baku-Shamakhi road

The Azerbaijan state infrastructure agency Azeravtoyol has announced a tender for reconstruction of the Baku-Shamakhi-Muganli road. The project includes expansion of the highway to four lanes on many sections of the rouad that goes through northern mountainous terrain. The World Bank and Azeravtoyol recently signed an agreement for the bank to fund the work up to US$140 million. Work is expected to take a year.

The Azerbaijan state infrastructure agency Azeravtoyol has announced a tender for reconstruction of the Baku-Shamakhi-Muganli road.

The project includes expansion of the highway to four lanes on many sections of the rouad that goes through northern mountainous terrain.

The World Bank and Azeravtoyol recently signed an agreement for the bank to fund the work up to US$140 million.

Work is expected to take a year.
