Australia road contract awarded to South Korean firm
The 13km M4-M5 Link in Sydney, Australia is to be constructed by the South Korean contractor, Samsung C&T. The project is worth US$788.5 million. The new link will be constructed as an underpass and is due for completion in mid-2023.

South Korean company Daewoo E&C will carry out upgrading and widening of a major expressway in Qatar. The US$590 million contract is focussing on widening a 4.5km stretch of the E-Ring expressway, as well as building 4km of connecting roads and three large intersections. The work on the intersections will be particularly complex as these will feature multiple levels. Improving the expressway will help boost connectivity for Qatar and is intended to improve traffic flow at peak periods. The construction work
A series of road improvement projects will now go ahead in Sydney Australia, following funding from the New South Wales (NSW) state Government. Five road upgrade projects will be carried out, in a bid to improve traffic flow and cut congestion. The funding is worth US$91.6 million (A$115 million) in all. One road stretch due an upgrade will be Cambeltown Road. The improvements are being carried out to increase capacity in the north-west, south-west and west areas of the city
The Oman Government has awarded a major road upgrade project to Indian contractor Larsen & Toubro. The 76km project is worth just over US$249 million. The route is at present a two lane road and will be widened between the towns of Bidbid and Sur. The work includes building 10 interchanges, seven pedestrian underpasses and five underpasses for vehicles. It also includes building service roads.
