Australia road contract awarded to South Korean firm
The 13km M4-M5 Link in Sydney, Australia is to be constructed by the South Korean contractor, Samsung C&T. The project is worth US$788.5 million. The new link will be constructed as an underpass and is due for completion in mid-2023.

The 13km M4-M5 Link in Sydney, Australia is to be constructed by the South Korean contractor, 1026 Samsung C&T. The project is worth US$788.5 million. The new link will be constructed as an underpass and is due for completion in mid-2023.
A Greek and Qatari consortium will carry out road contracts worth US$520 million in Qatar. Meanwhile US company Kellogg Brown & Root (KBR) will carry out a contract in Qatar worth $135 million.
Construction work on an important road link is underway in South Eastern Nigeria. The US$333 million road link will connect Bodo with Bonny Island. The 35.7km road includes the construction of a new bridge. The work is being carried out by contractor Julius Berger and commenced in 2017, with completion due in 2022. The project faces technical challenges as 7km of the route runs through marshy ground. There have also been issues between residents in the area and the contractor.

Chinese firms are to carry out three major road projects in Tanzania. The projects were awarded by the Tanzanian Government and are worth close to US$160 million in all. The companies are China Railway Seventh Group Company, Sichuan Road and Bridge (Group) Corporation and China Henan International Cooperation Company.
