Australia road contract awarded to South Korean firm
The 13km M4-M5 Link in Sydney, Australia is to be constructed by the South Korean contractor, Samsung C&T. The project is worth US$788.5 million. The new link will be constructed as an underpass and is due for completion in mid-2023.

Australia’s New South Wales (NSW) Government has outlined its massive transportation investment in the WestConnex project. This will be the largest urban transport project in the history of New South Wales. Some A$1.8 billion will be invested over four years from Restart NSW, the state’s new infrastructure fund. to finance the WestConnex project. And A$111 million will be committed in 2013-14 to get work underway on the 33km motorway. The NSW Government will fund the initial sections of the motorway. Privat
The consortium building Australia's new Northern Link tollway expects the project to require four years to complete. The US$1.41 billion (A$1.5 billion) project is being carried out by a consortium led by Spanish contrator Acciona, with construction due to commence at the end of this year. The work is being part funded by a $745 million loan from the State Government for the area and will also receive $532 million of funding from the Federal Government.
