Australia road contract awarded to South Korean firm
The 13km M4-M5 Link in Sydney, Australia is to be constructed by the South Korean contractor, Samsung C&T. The project is worth US$788.5 million. The new link will be constructed as an underpass and is due for completion in mid-2023.

The 13km M4-M5 Link in Sydney, Australia is to be constructed by the South Korean contractor, 1026 Samsung C&T. The project is worth US$788.5 million. The new link will be constructed as an underpass and is due for completion in mid-2023.
South Korean contractor Hyundai Engineering currently looks set to win a US$1 billion package of works for the Lusail Expressway project in Qatar. This deal will be for the first section of the highway and at present, seven international contractors are bidding for the project. The project is being handled by Qatari public works authority Ashghal. It has been reported that the deal will be finalised at the close of June 2012.
Work has started on 2.2km Mersey Gateway’s main bridge deck as the project enters its third year of construction.
The new six-lane toll bridge will link the English towns of Runcorn and Widnes and teams will begin to connect the steel support cables to the deck and upper pylons this summer.
