Australia road contract awarded to South Korean firm
The 13km M4-M5 Link in Sydney, Australia is to be constructed by the South Korean contractor, Samsung C&T. The project is worth US$788.5 million. The new link will be constructed as an underpass and is due for completion in mid-2023.

The 13km M4-M5 Link in Sydney, Australia is to be constructed by the South Korean contractor, 1026 Samsung C&T. The project is worth US$788.5 million. The new link will be constructed as an underpass and is due for completion in mid-2023.
Italian contractor Astaldi, as part of a joint venture, has won a €100 million contract to build of motorway in Romania.
The contract is 18km of the Brasov–Oradea section of the partially built A3 Autostrade, a 584km route that runs north to south, from the border with Hungary to the capital Bucharest.
Astalsi’s design and construction work includes three viaducts, five overpasses, three flyovers, and one motorway interchange. Work will begin in May and last for 16 months.
Work on the Brasov-Oradea
A consortium of contractors comprising Teixeira Duarte and EPOS will handle the construction of Portugal’s Marao Tunnel. The consortium won the tender with a bid of €88.1 million. The tunnel will measure 5.9km long when complete. Separate deals for other sections of the route have also been awarded. The section at Amarante will be handled by Opway, which offered a €29.5 million bid.
