Auction firm Ritchie Brothers has sold US$41 million worth of construction equipment at its recent auction in Dubai.

RSSAuction firm 318 Ritchie Bros has sold US$41 million worth of construction equipment at its recent auction in Dubai. This is the fifth auction the firm has held in Dubai and was held over a three day period in December, attracting 770 registered bidders from 55 countries, which the Canadian firm claims is a record. Of the buyers around 50% came from outside of Dubai, with much of the trading being handled over the Internet. In all 1,600 machines were sold, including 55 excavators, 55 wheeled loaders, 30 bulldozers, 25 ADTs, 25 cranes, 25 rigid dump trucks and a range of other machines including graders, compactors, asphalt pavers trenchers and generator sets.
