Algeria: work progresses on Oran ring road linking Belgaid to El-Kerma

In the Algerian province of Oran, construction of the second ring road linking Belgaid to El-Kerma is 60% complete and should be open by June. Also, the motorway between Oran port and the East-West motorway, costing around $448.46 million, is due to be complete in July 2017, according to a report in Le Quotidien d'Oran. In the Algerian province of Oran, construction of the second ring road linking Belgaid to El-Kerma is 60% complete and should be open by June.

Also, the motorway between Oran port and the East-West motorway, costing around $448.46 million, is due to be complete in July 2017, according to a report in Le Quotidien d'Oran.

Work is being done by the Algerian-Turkish group ENGOA-MAKYOL and the project is being overseen by Agence nationale des autoroutes (ANA).

Widening of the CW46 linking Sidi Marouf to Hassi Bounif is due to be complete by April 2016 and a study is being launched for construction of a motorway linking Arzew to the East-West motorway.

In the Djelfa region, a multi-sectoral committee has been set up to follow progress on the RN1 duplication project, a 40km stretch between Ain Ouessara and Hassi Bahbah. Works will focus on constructing a motorway on that segment and will be conducted by Cosider, Also, another project to duplicate the 64km RN1 national road between Djelfa and Laghouat is being considered, at a cost of around US$177.5 million.

    A new loan has been approved that will help finance works on the northern stretch of the Sao Paulo ring road in Brazil. The US$1.15 billion loan is being provided by the Inter-American Development Bank (IADB). Approval for the IADB loan has come from Brazil’s Committee for Economic Affairs (CAE) at Brazil's Senate. The loan will finance construction of the Rodoanel Norte stretch of the ring road. This measures some 44km long and will connect with the west and east sections of the ring road as well as linkin
