Techking is offering a new low-profile ADT tyre for use in difficult and wet ground conditions
Chinese tyre supplier 8065 Techking is aiming to capture a larger slice of global supply, with Latin America, Canada, Australia, the Middle East, Russia and Indonesia all being markets where the firm wants to develop its presence.

The firm has a wide range of tyres for standard applications but is also now offering special tyres designed for certain duties. One of the firm’s representatives explained that the tyres the company developed initially for use in Northern China were not suitable for use in the south, where rainfall is higher. “The tyres spin out and are more likely to get cut.”

The company said it is developing innovative tyre solutions and has captured a strong share of the Chinese market, with sales to the country’s top seven construction equipment manufacturers. The quarry market is one where Techking already has a strong presence and the firm is keen to further develop its presence overseas. The wheeled loader and rigid truck tyres are already strong sellers in China while the firm hopes to develop its share sales of these overseas, as well as for the ADT market with its latest products. A key product development for the firm is its new 875/65/R29 tyre, which was designed for use on ADTs. The representative said, “It has a low profile and is very wide. We have big blocks on the tyre so it can handle water, mud and small rocks.”

The wide tyre offers stability when under load and better wear resistance means that its working life will be extended, while it features a 51mm tread depth for traction as well as long life.
