New Michelin earthmover tyre

Michelin is now offering new tyres aimed at the rigid truck market. Called the XTRA LOAD GRIP and XTRA LOAD PROTECT, these 24.00 R35 sizes are part of the new MICHELIN XTRA LOAD range. Michelin is now offering new tyres aimed at the rigid truck market. Called the XTRA LOAD GRIP and XTRA LOAD PROTECT, these 24.00 R35 sizes are part of the new MICHELIN XTRA LOAD range. This offering is said to allow users to increase load capacity or increase travel speeds to maximise productivity.

The XTRA LOAD GRIP version is for use in soft, loose, muddy ground conditions where the priority is high grip and traction. Due to a reinforced casing, the tyre has a 16% higher payload. And the increased grip improves braking, cornering and accelerating. The tyre can cope with higher speeds due to the cooler internal running temperatures, while offering 8% more wear resistance. This tyre replaces the XDT and X Traction units.

MICHELIN XTRA LOAD PROTECT is for hard, sharp, abrasive conditions on flat, dry surfaces where the priority is protection and damage resistance. This application is for customers who want to carry more load and increase the distances they carry. The new protective and damage-resistant tread pattern contributes to a better load distribution across the contact patch.
