BKT now offers a new tyre for use on skid steer loaders

This tyre is suited to use with machines such as skid steer loaders and telehandlers used in road maintenance work or in waste material deposits.

In heavy-duty applications, tyres need extra protection against punctures and abrasion, while also needing to be able to carry heavy loads and maintaining stability. According to BKT, its SKID MAX SR-SKIDDER meets these requirements and offers long product life and high load capacity. The robust casing is equipped with an all-steel structure that has steel belts, providing greater resistance to punctures and cuts. The thick sides help to minimise the risk of punctures and damage and help to maximise machine uptime.

In addition, the SKID MAX SR-SKIDDER design has a guard that protects against any punctures and impacts, protecting the area around the rim. The robust and wide tread features a continuous central block, which boosts wear life and traction. At the same time, BKT says that this new tyre design offers ride comfort as well as stability for machine operators. The SKID MAX SR-SKIDDER tyre is currently available in the 260/70 R 12.5 (10 R 16.5) size.

In the world of road maintenance and paving, as well as construction, the issue of recovering material deriving from demolition and scarification is becoming increasingly urgent, with the dual objective of combining environmental protection with economic savings. Those who work in the sector are well aware of the huge costs of transporting and disposing of asphalt and material from demolition, as well as the costs for the purchase and transport of new raw materials to the site. Now, as never before, the sector features its own circular economy, particularly in regards to bituminous conglomerates: road paving can be recycled several times, in full compliance with the regulations in force.
