BKT has widened its EARTHMAX off-highway tyre range with the new 33.00 R 51

The latest version of BKT's EARTHMAX range of tyres is aimed at the rigid dump truck market. Featuring a diameter of 3.75m and a width of 975mm, the tyre is suited to heavy-duty applications in construction and quarrying. The tyre weighs 2.4tonnes and is said to feature high cut-and-chip resistance, which helps extend its working life. A steel-belted casing meanwhile ensures that the tyre is extremely durable, giving protection against mechanical stresses and impact, helping reduce the risk of punctures. A key feature is the tread design with its block lug pattern and circumferential grooves. According to BKT, this design helps to reduce wear while improving cornering. BKT says that the 33.00 R 51 tyre features proven technology from the firm, ensuring its long life and high performance. This is the largest tyre the firm has produced so far, although a larger unit is in development at present.
