AFSI opens new Czech factory

Advanced Filtration Systems Incorporated (AFSI), the manufacturer of Caterpillar and Perkins differentiated liquid filters, has opened a new manufacturing facility in the Czech Republic. 2322 Advanced Filtration Systems Incorporated (AFSI), the manufacturer of 178 Caterpillar and 299 Perkins differentiated liquid filters, has opened a new manufacturing facility in the Czech Republic.

According to Caterpillar the facility will allow for better service to the markets in Europe, Africa, and the Middle East.

AFSI, a joint venture of Donaldson and Caterpillar established in 1986, manufactures filters exclusively for Caterpillar and Perkins. In addition to the newly-opened Czech facility it has a production plant in the city of Champaign, Illinois, USA.

"A decision to establish a European branch came in 2007 as the plant in Champaign was reaching its maximum capacity." explains Stephane Latini, marketing consultant at Caterpillar.
