AFSI opens new Czech factory

Advanced Filtration Systems Incorporated (AFSI), the manufacturer of Caterpillar and Perkins differentiated liquid filters, has opened a new manufacturing facility in the Czech Republic. According to Caterpillar the facility will allow for better service to the markets in Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. 2322 Advanced Filtration Systems Incorporated (AFSI), the manufacturer of 178 Caterpillar and 299 Perkins differentiated liquid filters, has opened a new manufacturing facility in the Czech Republic.

According to Caterpillar the facility will allow for better service to the markets in Europe, Africa, and the Middle East.

AFSI, a joint venture of Donaldson and Caterpillar established in 1986, manufactures filters exclusively for Caterpillar and Perkins. In addition to the newly-opened Czech facility it has a production plant in the city of Champaign, Illinois, USA.

"A decision to establish a European branch came in 2007 as the plant in Champaign was reaching its maximum capacity." explains Stephane Latini, marketing consultant at Caterpillar.
