Rockster Recycler is helping an Indian construction company reach its target of crushing two million tonnes of discarded building waste in a year.

M/S Popular Construction, part of the Popular Infra Resources Group, is using two Rockster R900 Impact crushers with Duplex systems at four locations in India and plan to expand their deployment to eight sites. A spokesman for M/S Popular Construction said the company had chosen to work with Austrian-made Rockster machines due to their Duplex system, which allows for switches between impact and jaw crushers on site in under three hours.

Rockster already had presence in India with their subsidiary, 5074 Rockster Recycler India PVT, in Bangalore. The subsidiary includes a spare parts warehouse at site, after sales service support, a local assembly and a step by step manufacturing programme.

An M/S Popular Construction spokesman said: “We have found the right partner for our crushing and screening equipment and are highly satisfied with the service and after sales offered by Rockster, and the high quality and performances of their machines”.

Wolfgang Kormann, managing director of Rockster Recycler Austria, said Rockster would continue to “definitely play a role” in India’s development.
