There’s been strong interest this week in 3501 Terex Finlay’s new I-140 direct drive 1,270mm x 1,240mm  horizontal impact crusher.

The model offers variable speed for production in recycling, mining and quarrying applications, along with significantly improved flow of material due to increasing the width of components as the material moves through the machine.

Furthermore, the I-140’s robust and proven Terex CR032 chamber is said to give excellent reduction ratios and high consistency of product shape.

The impact crusher features an advanced electronic control system that monitors and controls the speed of the rotor and regulates the heavy-duty vibrating feeder with integrated pre-screen to maintain a consistent feed of material into the impact chamber for optimal crushing conditions. Additionally, material from the integrated pre-screen can be diverted to a stock pile via the optional by-pass conveyor, or it can join the crushed product on the main belt.

Nigel Irvine, Terex Finlay’s International sales and marketing director, said, “The I-140 is our great hope for the German market because impactors, large and small, are the most popular model. There’s a lot of limestone quarrying across the country which is ideal for the I-140.”

Irvine also highlighted how Terex Finlay had been developing its German dealer network, with Bau Sud (southern Germany) and Moerschen (central Germany) added in recent years to the company’s longstanding dealership partnership with Fischer Jung in eastern Germany.

“Germany is still a strong market but the UK is the strongest in Europe. Finlay Scotland, in particular, is doing fantastic business,” added Irvine.
