Merlo's e-Worker on duty

After record sales last year, Merlo started 2020 by picking up the SaMoTer Innovation Award in the Telehandler Category for its e-Worker range. The off-road mobile 100% electric elevating work platforms are 785mm-wide machines. They come in a two-wheel drive e-Worker 60 version and a four-wheel drive E-Worker 90. Both can can operate on 40% gradients.

They also use software - developed by the Merlo Group – to monitor batteries and optimise their use. The average consumption of the machine is 6kW/h which allows it a full eight-hour shift of work. This makes it useful for road tunnel construction where space is limited and emissions must be kept to a minimum.
