2595 Simem says that its new concrete mixing system offers greater throughput and product quality than other systems on the market. The new Xentrix mixer features a modular mixer design with an eccentric drive system. Because of the modular construction, Simem can build each unit to a specific requirement from a range of standard components. Managing Director Federico Furlani said, "We can produce modules for stock and assemble them to suit the customer order and we can reduce the delivery time, which is important."

Meanwhile the offset drive system allows for a better material flow into the mixer, producing faster and more homogenous mixing of the concrete. Marketing and Communications Director Roberta Zuffelato said that the cement and water go directly into the unit and that the faster mixing process boosts productivity and allows for a higher quality product, while reducing power consumption. She said, "It's a very advanced technology." And she added, "We have a new automatic wash-down system and there are four spray heads inside the mixer for faster cleaning at the end of a shift." According to Furlani, "We invest a lot in research and development to bring better solutions for productivity," and he added that by 2010 the firm will have completely updated its product range.
