2987 Telsmith is expanding its mobile crusher range with the addition of the QuarryTrax Model TI6060, a track-mounted, primary impact crushing plant designed for high-capacity production of up to 800tonnes/hour.

It features the firm's heavy-duty PA6060 primary impact crusher, which is said to maximise uptime and minimise maintenance requirements. A key feature of the crusher is its massive, solid type rotor which is mounted on oversized 220mm, wide series bearings. The heavy rotor is said to deliver high inertia and helps optimise crushing, allowing it to crush 1m stone or concrete slabs. The machine is said to be easy to transport and can be made ready to crush in a few minutes and suits duties in concrete recycling or with low-abrasion quarried stone.

Innovative features prevent internal damage from uncrushable materials, while reducing maintenance, boosting uptime and cutting running costs. A sophisticated hydraulic system allows fine control of apron adjustments, while the machine's PLC means it can be run in an automatic mode that returns the apron to its preset spacing. The PLC also helps monitor wear part consumption. Other features include a hydraulic tilting feed plate to clear bridging as well as interchangeable and reversible mono-block aprons to reduce maintenance costs and downtime. Wide inspection doors and a hydraulic upper frame also provide access to maintenance areas.

The QuarryTrax TI6060 is equipped with the firm's Trax-Max control system which monitors and controls plant operations including engine systems, hydraulic systems, component settings, alarm conditions and troubleshooting. Handheld wireless remote manoeuvres the plant and provides crusher, feeder, engine and conveyor controls from a safe distance. Options include a hydraulic hammer, 14m³ hopper extensions, a folding conveyor extension and a tramp metal magnet.

The Di Maso quarry company in Italy has invested in a HAZEMAG crushing concept, and in addition to the rugged primary impact crusher with its active hydraulic control system, a wobbler feeder has been added to relieve the load on the crusher and to ensure uniform feeding. The Type AP-PH 1414 impact crusher's latest active hydraulic control system offers a facility where the impact aprons are locked in position during operation to guarantee a uniform, high-quality product. However, if tramp metal enters the
