From the pre-screening of the coarsest gravel to the fine classifying of natural sands or any demanding recycled materials, the new Lokotrack ST2.4 mobile screen meets many applications

Metso’s newest mobile screen from the proven Lokotrack series – Lokotrack ST2.4 – is said to combine high screening capacity with exceptionally low fuel consumption.

This user-friendly, economical combination has been achieved thanks to its optimised hydraulic design and state-of-the-art process steering automatics.

Lokotrack ST2.4 is said to be well suited for the accurate classifying of any feed materials: from the pre-screening of the coarsest gravel to the fine classifying and processing of natural sands or any demanding recycled materials. Due to its efficient two-stage screen, 6934 Metso says you can produce three clean end-product sizes in one process.

Smart material flow and the use of first-class components is said to guarantee the outstanding performance of ST2.4. Its low fuel consumption and operating costs are also said by Metso to allow the ST2.4 to produce the lowest cost per tonne in its size class.

“We believe that the Lokotrack ST2.4 sets a new standard for real mobility. Our screen novelty is thoroughly designed for fast unit setup from trailer to screening, achieved in just minutes. All the conveyors are folded hydraulically and secured mechanically. You just set up the screen angle, lift the feeder up and start screening,” says Kimmo Anttila, product manager for Metso mobile screens.

“The quick set-up helps the screening contractor to add to the actual screening uptime, and thus helps to make even small contracts more economical. This, together with low operating costs and easy and simple service, makes ST2.4 a really user-friendly tool,” adds Anttila. Lokotrack ST2.4’s top deck screen box size is 1.5 x 3.6m. It features a 74.9kW Cat C4.4 diesel engine. The ST2.4’s transport dimensions are: length 14.2m, height 3.4m, width 2.9m, and weight 23.5tonnes with the belt feeder, and 26.5tonnes with the apron feeder.
