Major award for RMD Kwikform

UK-headquartered, global construction product specialist RMD Kwikform has been awarded the prestigious Queen's Award for Enterprise: International Trade 2010.

UK-headquartered, global construction product specialist 319 RMD Kwikform has been awarded the prestigious Queen's Award for Enterprise: International Trade 2010.

The award is for increasing its overseas business by 185%, to 30 countries, over six years, generating a total revenue of £154 million (€177 million).

The formwork and falsework specialist provides equipment to help construct concrete structures worldwide, providing engineering led solutions and systems to the international construction industry.

Steven Dance, RMD Kwikform divisional managing director, said: "This is an extremely proud moment for everyone at RMD Kwikform. The award is a major achievement that recognises the efforts of all our staff across the globe, in what has been an extremely challenging business climate.

"Over the last six years we have made significant investment in our global business, increasing our reach and strengthening our position in key markets across the world. Because of this expansion, today we generate over three-quarters of our turnover from overseas markets." With a global workforce of 1,050, RMD Kwikform has 55 offices in over 18 countries managing over 125,000tonnes of formwork and falsework equipment.
