Having new tools can allow contractors to boost the efficiency of materials scheduling and tackle road defects quickly

2297 Aggregate Industries is now offering an upgraded Express Asphalt App, which is said to make life easier for customers. This is one of many new digital tools now being introduced by asphalt producers around the globe, intended to ease logistics. The firm’s new app comes with innovative new features such as information on tools and equipment and a dedicated section for case studies. Called the Express Asphalt App, the upgraded version offers an improved tonnage calculator. The firm says that this enables customers to determine the volume of asphalt required prior to arrival on-site.

This is further supported by improvements to the app’s in-built GPS service. The tool not only helps customers locate the nearest local depot to pick up materials quickly and efficiently, but also allows them rate any one of Aggregate Industries’ 36 asphalt sites nationwide.

According to the firm, the new app is clearer, easier to navigate, and more user-friendly, while also offering users the opportunity to provide the firm with instant feedback.

Other features allow users access to news and information via a live Twitter feed. The firm says that these are designed to help customers get up-to-the-minute reports on the latest developments in asphalt.

This latest release comes just months after Aggregate Industries launched its Express Collect app, a ‘click and collect’ service enabling customers to order asphalt, or tools and equipment, and pick it up from any one of the business’ Express Asphalt depots.

The Express Asphalt service includes a dedicated customer service team and a guaranteed order turnaround of under 30 minutes for single loads of standard products. Both apps are now available to download now from the App Store or Play Store for IOS and Android.
