CEMEX concrete for bridge reconstruction in Arizona

CEMEX is supplying concrete for the Cameron Bridge, a job that forms part of the reconstruction of the Arizona section of Route 89 in the south-western US. Spanning nearly 200m, the new bridge includes four lanes for highway traffic, a pedestrian underpass, and other concrete flatwork that is expected to improve traffic flow and road safety.

Concrete from CEMEX has been used for an Arizona bridge construction job
CEMEX is supplying concrete for the Cameron Bridge, a job that forms part of the reconstruction of the Arizona section of Route 89 in the south-western US.


Spanning nearly 200m, the new bridge includes four lanes for highway traffic, a pedestrian underpass, and other concrete flatwork that is expected to improve traffic flow and road safety.

To best meet the project’s construction demands, 3016 CEMEX installed a remote batch plant at a nearby quarry, which enabled the company to supply over 15,000m3 of concrete.

During this project’s development, CEMEX overcame several operational challenges, including pouring at a height of around 30m, dealing with winter weather shutdowns, as well as fluctuations in the level of the Little Colorado River Gorge.
