A versatile screening bucket is offered by Australian firm Flip Screen
2817 Flip Screen Australia has developed the EX80 screening attachment. The offers a simple and robust design and is said to be durable enough to stand up to the most demanding industries including aggregates and roadbuilding, construction and recycling. Suitable for 20-27tonne excavators, the EX80 replaces the bucket and works by rotating on a horizontal axis continuously through 360°. An interchangeable screen allows smaller particles through, depending on mesh size, while a baffle retains larger material for dumping separately.

The EX80 is said to be resilient and resistant to damage. The drive chain is capable of lifting heavy loads up to 24tonnes, and self-aligning main bearings can handle a 64tonne static load. For added versatility, the EX80 can double as the excavator's bucket and is capable of digging at the full breakout force. The unit is also said to be easy to use. A single Eaton hydraulic motor powers the bucket rotation, with rotation speed dependent on hydraulic flow and variable between 18-25rpm. Including its mesh screen, the EX80 weighs in at 2.1tonnes and has a capacity of approximately 0.8m3. The EX80's design allows a screen to be changed out easily in just minutes by the operator, with seven high-tensile steel mesh screens offered.
