Sennebogen 835 E-series material handler feeds the LZR concrete plant in Kitzingen, Bavaria
Sand and gravel extraction in the Main valley has always been a mainstay of family-owned LZR - Lenz Ziegler Reifenscheid - in Kitzingen, Bavaria. Every day, around 800tonnes arrive at the gravel plant via the Main River.

The company not only supplies ready-mixed concrete, but is active in demolition and waste disposal. Since mid-2017, a 2924 Sennebogen 835 E-series material handler has been operating at the Kitzingen site. Equipped for an 18m reach and with a 2000-l double-shell grab, operator Uwe Marx dredges gravel from ship hulls or directly feeds the processing units of the concrete mixing plant. For an optimal view of the work area and downward into the hulls, the 835 E was specified with an elevating and extendable cab.

This additional benefit in work safety and comfort was one of the decisive factors when looking for a new material handler, Marx said. For daily operation, he especially appreciates the low maintenance requirements, the easily accessible components and the machine's simple, straightforward engineering. The machine is equipped with a 224kW diesel engine complying with Tier 4 Final emissions control requirements. Its all-wheel travel drive allows it to be used flexibly all across the company premises.
