Accurate asphalt production

Flomac Solutions says that its innovative feeding and weighing system allows for more effective and accurate asphalt production processes. The Flomac Materials Handling System has been jointly developed with specialist firm E Collinson and combines Flomac's accurate Compac weighing unit with a powerful materials delivery technology.

709 Flomac Solutions says that its innovative feeding and weighing system allows for more effective and accurate asphalt production processes. The Flomac Materials Handling System has been jointly developed with specialist firm E 3351 Collinson and combines Flomac's accurate Compac weighing unit with a powerful materials delivery technology. Pneumatic materials delivery provides a consistent flow into the mix and the system is able to handle a long list of products such as fibres, pigmented pellets, Sasobit, SEAM and adhesion promoters. According to Flomac, this equipment can cope with any free-flowing, non-dusting pelletised product and the accurate weighing package means that the system can deliver precise quantities for a more consistent mix quality.

Flomac says that the system can be retro-fitted to existing asphalt plants and requires little installation, while it can also be tailored to the specific needs of each application or client. Using this system also improves safety as it means products do not have to be added by hand into the mixer and keeps personnel at a safe distance from hot working machinery.
