Tillicoultry Quarries' Northfield quarry inScotland recently received a 6934 Metso Lokotrack LT120(TM) mobile jaw crusher plant. Northfield Quarry specialises in aggregates, asphalt and concrete. Normally operating a single shift, it is one of the largest operations in Scotland.

"We have a healthy mobile processing fleet, albeit our largest jaws are mainly used for recycling and some primary processing. The Lokotrack LT120 will give us the capacity and mobility we need to ensure full flexibility in all applications," said Andrew Shakeshaft, area production manager at Tillicoultry Quarries.

The unit is working initially to crush basalt at the Northfield Quarry. However, the Lokotrack will be moved around to various hard rock quarries for development workings to supplement fixed processes and add volume capacity when required.

The machine was supplied through Garriock Bros., Metso's official dealer in Scotland, England and Wales for the past decade.
