RSSThe 6791 Ammann Group is changing its operations in the UK and Ireland. The firm is retaining sales and service support for its asphalt plant business within its existing subsidiary Ammann UK. However the firm is selling the compaction machine sales and support business to AY Equipment in a management buyout arrangement that involves a share deal. This move makes AY Equipment the Ammann dealer for the entire range of Ammann compaction products, including sales, maintenance and spare parts services, for the UK and Ireland. This firm will continue to provide the full 7139 Yanmar line of products and third-party products. Both companies, Ammann UK and AY Equipment, will continue to provide their services at the existing location in Warwickshire. No changes will be made in the business segment for asphalt pavers however. Ammann will continue to work with its well-established dealer partner Pavemac in Wimblington, Cambridgeshire, to market its range of pavers in the UK and Ireland. The managing director of Ammann UK now in charge of the asphalt plant business is Malcolm Apperley, while managing director of AY Equipment is Robert Brown. Both have considerable experience of the Ammann products and services.
