Italian firm Marcantonini has had significant results in delivering concrete batching equipment and concrete distribution technology to the concrete production segment in Romania

These fully insulated plants have met tough requirements with regard to output as well as sustainability. The firm says that its plants are designed to high standards to ensure the production of high quality concrete while optimising efficiency. The plants are said to offer functionality, practicality, ease of maintenance and low water consumption due to an innovative recycling system.

Major Romanian precast producers have placed large equipment orders with 8015 Marcantonini. Bauelemente from Ploiesti commissioned a precast plant including six aggregate hoppers with a total capacity of 350m3, two mobile hoppers for coloured quartz and a mobile scale hopper for aggregates. It also included a twin shaft mixer, an automatic moisture and plasticity control system and two cement silos with 120tonnes capacity.

Victor Construct Botosani commissioned a plant for blocks and pipes including six aggregate hoppers with a total capacity of 300m3, two mobile hoppers for coloured quartz, one mobile scale hopper for aggregates, a planetary mixer for grey concrete and a planetary mixer for coloured concrete. It also included an automatic moisture and plasticity control system and an 80tonne capacity cement silo.

Somaco Group Prefabricate ordered a new plant for pipe production featuring four aggregate hoppers with a total capacity of 140m, two planetary mixers for dry and wet concrete production and an automatic moisture and plasticity control system. It also included five 80tonne capacity cement silos and a containerised aggregate heating system. Lupp Construct in Sibiu is ordering a new Marcantonini plant for girder production with an automatic aggregate loading system, five aggregate hoppers with a total capacity of 150m3 and a twin shaft mixer. It also includes three cement silos and a containerised aggregate heating system.
