Fecon FTX128 compact milling machine

Fecon says that its FTX128 tracked carrier suits duties in compact milling operations for jobs such as road patching. The unit can be used to mill asphalt up to 102cm wide and 15cm deep when fitted with compatible cold planer attachments such as the Coneqtec-Universal AP1000. The carrier features high flow rates for its hydraulic circuits and can deliver 170-227litres/min to the planer attachment.

Fecon says its FTX128 carrier offers versatility and performance
5991 Fecon says that its FTX128 tracked carrier suits duties in compact milling operations for jobs such as road patching.

When milling is completed the FTX128 hydraulic circuits and quick attach coupler plate enable users to run complimentary attachments such brooms or buckets to make further use of the FTX128 carrier.

The firm claims that the high flow of the FTX128 allows users to save time and money in asphalt applications by avoiding the need for saw cutting before performing patch work. The firm also says that savings can be achieved in full depth reclamation (FDR) applications where paved surfaces are less than 15cm thick. Using the FTX128 in these applications allows users to recycle the asphalt cuttings.

The carrier unit is said to be versatile and to offer high utilisation and when not performing asphalt repairs it can be used to remove roadside vegetation that obstructs visibility using the firm’s BH85SD mulcher attachment.

High quality surface finishes are required in airport environments for runways, taxiways and aircraft parking areas. Because of the speed at which aircraft take off and land and the massive forces exerted due to the weight of the aircraft, particularly during landing, runway structures need to be incredibly strong. The surfaces also have to be constructed to very
