Ammann’s versatile recycling machine can handle multiple duties

6791 Ammann is offering its RSS 120-M Shredder, a mobile machine that prepares recycled asphalt for use in an asphalt plant. It is versatile as it can be used as a shredder, iron separator and screener. The machine can recycle asphalt that ranges in size from milled particles to larger pieces. The Ammann RSS 120-M can go from installation to production in just 30 minutes and is track-mounted for mobility.

A single operator can run the machine, which comprises a shredder with two low-speed, electrically driven shredder-rotating shafts. The RSS 120-M features milling cutters with interchangeable teeth that crush the material. This patented technology reduces the power requirement, saving fuel. The technology also allows crushing of hard and soft materials, such as clays, and can perform in all types of weather.

The electric motors ensure consistent crushing and screening, regardless of the working environment and the machine can process up to 180tonnes/hour. Other features include a dust reduction system and low sound and exhaust emission levels.

The Ammann RSS 120-M has been designed for easy maintenance and improved safety. It uses components that make it possible for shredding and screening parameters to be adjusted remotely, allowing the unit to be adapted to suit the types of material being processed.
